Pioneer Shootout Results
VALLEJO, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay men's golf team clinched its second consecutive team title with a final round of 1-under-par 278 at the Pioneer Shootout that concluded Tuesday at Hiddenbrooke Golf Course.
CSUMB's 32-over-par total 896 was eight strokes better than CCAA-foe Cal State Stanislaus and nine strokes ahead of Sonoma State.
Senior #Oskar Nystrom# carded a final round 70 today and tied for second in the individual competition with a 6-over-par 222, four strokes behind medalist Brandon Taylor of CSUS, who shot a closing round of 75 to finish at 217.
Seniors #Scott Yeakel# and #John Jackson# tied for fourth with a 7-over-par 223. Freshman #Dylan Jackson# carded a 16-over-par 232 and tied for 21st. Junior #Anthony Valdez# finished tied for 33rd with a 20-over-par 236 after a final round of 78.
The Otters will take a week off before returning to play at the Notre Dame de Namur Tournament at Livermore on Mar. 22-23.
