Biography

2015 – Cal State Monterey Bay: Connor Henderson completed his junior season by ascending to the top spots on the CSUMB career 8K and 10K lists, obliterating both school records in the process…ran an MB record 24:30.40 8K on the Baylands Park course at the Bronco Invitational (Oct. 17)…bested Caton Avila’s previous record by more than 13 seconds…broke Ben Garland’s Otter 10K record by more than 41 seconds at the 2015 NCAA Division II West Regional with a time of 31:04.15 on the Ash Creek Preserve course in Salem, Ore. (Nov. 7)…earned his first collegiate win by taking top honors at the Sonoma State Invitational (Oct. 3).

2014 – Cal State Monterey Bay: Henderson added his name to the CSUMB best marks list two more times as a sophomore, continuing to rise amongst the best harriers in Otter history…ran a 24:59.40 8K at the Bronco Invitational on the Baylands Park 8K course (Oct. 18) for the No. 6 time on that list…his 10K time of 32:23.10 at Amend Park in Billings, Mont. at the NCAA West Regional would have been the CSUMB record at that distance if not for Ben Garland’s 31:46.59 in the same race…had top 20 finishes at the UCSD Triton Invitational (9th) (Oct. 25) and at the Gator Invitational (20th) (Oct. 10).

2013 – Cal State Monterey Bay: Henderson completed the most successful freshman season in Otter men’s cross country history by being named the CCAA co–Freshman of the Year for 2013…is the first (and to date, only) CSUMB men’s cross country runner to earn honors at the CCAA Championship Meet…was CSUMB’s No. 2 runner in all seven meets…ran a PR of 25:37.50 in the Invitational section of the Bronco Invitational at Baylands Park (Oct. 19)…his 20:46.50 at the Hornet Jamboree at Granite Regional Park is the No. 3 time on a 4–mile course in Otter history…earned Top 10 finishes by placing 6th at the Sonoma State Invitational (Sept. 21) and 7th at the Crystal Springs Invitational (Sept. 7).

High School: Henderson brought a champion’s pedigree to CSUMB, joining the Otters after winning Nevada State 1A individual titles in 2011 and 2012 while at South Tahoe High School…also cruised to victory in the Northern Nevada 1A title race…led the Vikings to the 2011 Nevada State Championship and a third place finish in 2012…helped the Vikings to consecutive Northern Nevada 4A regional titles in 2011 and 2012.

Personal: Henderson is majoring in kinesiology at CSUMB.
