Richard Jenkins Named to All-CCAA First Team
Senior Richard Jenkins of Inglewood, CA,  was voted to the All-CCAA first team in a vote of the league's coaches. He becomes the first male CSUMB athlete to make the all-conference first team. Jenkins led the team in points (18.2) and rebounds (6.6) this past season, with a school and conference record 57 points in a four-overtime win against Western Oregon on December 15th, 2006. It would have been the highest point total in the NCAA Division II if the Otters were eligible for their stats to count. Jenkins finishes his career as CSUMB's No. 6 alltime scorer (740 points), rebounder (350) and blocker (26). He is 3rd alltime in assists (156) and is the only Otter to be in the top ten of all four categories. Richard was also named the CCAA player of the week on December 18th, 2006 after his record breaking game over Western Oregon.
