Austin Risenhoover


Young but already possessing a wealth of coaching experience, Austin Risenhoover joined the Cal State Monterey Bay women’s soccer staff as Head Coach Erin Reinke’s lead assistant in June of 2011.

Risenhoover came to CSUMB from the University of Oklahoma, where he worked with Sooner women’s soccer in operations and as part of the Sooner Soccer Camps staff.

Risenhoover dipped his feet in the collegiate coaching waters at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma from 2006–09, serving as an assistant coach for the Drover men’s and women’s teams. He had his hands in many facets of the programs, including training, scouting, recruiting and operations. While there he helped the women’s team to the first NAIA Top 25 ranking in school history.

Risenhoover spent the past four seasons as the head boys coach at Edmond (Okla.) North High School. He led the Huskies to three Oklahoma state finals, including the 2010 6A State Championship and a No. 8 national ranking.

His extensive club coaching background includes six years with the Oklahoma Football Club, where he filled a variety of roles including assistant and head coach to several highly–successful teams.

Risenhoover played collegiately at Bacone College in Oklahoma, where he was a two–time first team All–Red River Conference pick for the Warriors. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and is working on his master’s degree in education–human relations from OU. He holds a U.S. Soccer Federation “C” licence and an National Youth Licence.
