Day 1 Results
CHICO, Calif. – Due to heavy rain, the Cal State Monterey Bay men's golf team finished in fifth place at after only playing two rounds of the Interwest Chico Classic on Monday at Butte Creek Country Club.
Freshman #Dylan Jackson# was the Otters' leader, tying for eighth after carding 3-over-par 147. With ten golfers turning in a 4-over-par 148 for 12th place, juniors #Martin Hardenberger# and #DJ Milligan# followed with a 5-over par 149 and tied for 22nd. Junior #Anthony Valdez# is right behind them with a 6-over-par 150 and tied for 24th. Freshman #Jered Stone# rounds out the CSUMB golfers with 8-over-par 152, tying for 32nd.
Chico State's Sylvester Gama and Holy Name's Stephan Edman are tied for individual top honors after carding a 3-over-par 141 after the first day.
