Day 1 Results
ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – Cal State Monterey Bay's women's golf team shot a 23-over-par team round of 311 today at the first round of the Sonoma State Invitational and are five strokes ahead of second place Academy of Art University heading into tomorrow's action.
CSUMB senior #Cicilia Chudivan# is in second place after firing a 3-over-par 75, just one stroke behind Brittany Carrera of Sonoma State.
Sophomore #Courtney Soekland# carded a 4-over-par 76, finishing day one in a three-way tie for third place. Junior #Darcy Lake# shot a 6-over-par 78 and currently sits tied for eighth, while freshman #Gianna Waddy# is tied 23rd after an opening round of 10-over-par 82. Seeing her first collegiate action, freshman #Sara Crofcheck# is tied for 40th after carding a 19-over-par 91.
The Otters wraps up the invitational tomorrow morning on the par-72, 5,742 course at Santa Rosa Golf and Country Club.
