Results

SEASIDE, Calif. – Despite having the college season over, members of the Cal State Monterey Bay men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Big Sur Half Marathon and Run Forrest Run 5K presented by Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. on Sunday, Nov. 14 in Monterey.

The Otters had six student-athletes participate in the Half Marathon with CSUMB's top runner #Fabian Rangel# finishing 24th with a time of 1:17:57.  #Vincent Carr# captured 39th at 1:20:53, just ahead of #Manny Ventura Plascencia# who finished 41st (1:20:04).  #Vincent Delgado# placed 57th (1:25:02) and #Travis Nelson# took 94th (1:29:11).  #Tabitha Bailey# was the lone female runner from CSUMB in the Half Marathon, finishing 94th out of 3,047 women in a time of 1:43:42.

CSUMB had eight runners finish in the top 100 of the 5K race.  #Alex Olson# crossed the line for sixth place in a time of 18:22, with a pace of 5:55.  #Krista Sornborger# took 38th in a time of 21:20 and #Keri Zaro# finished in 46th place at 12:46. #Hayley Tharp# captured 51st (22:07), #Chi Tran# placed 60th (22:50) and #Marissa Aquilar# finished 68th (23:08).  #Krystal Schnieder# and #Camille Sierra# rounded out the CSUMB runners with 85th (23:59) and 97th (24:50) place finishes.
