Women's Golf Ranked Fifth In Nation

Highest national ranking in school history

SEASIDE, Calif.
–The Cal State Monterey Bay women's golf team moved up to fifth  in the Golfstat NCAA Division II Head-to-Head Standings that were released today.

"We are very proud of the efforts of the women's golf team," said Director of Athletics #Vince Otoupal#. "Their determination, in some very tough conditions, is noted and proves their mental toughness. Coach Greene and her student-athletes are great examples for the athletic department and the CSUMB community.

."This is an example of what we are doing here at CSUMB."

The jump in the standings came after the Otters finished second at the Grand Canyon Invitational, behind NCAA Division I Northern Arizona.

“This is a great start to our season,” said head coach #Teri Greene#. “I am very pleased for the team is working hard and very dedicated to reaching their goals.”

Senior #Cicilia Chudivan# is ranked eighth in the nation while sophomore #Courtney Soekland# follows with a ninth national ranking.
