Round One Results

MESA, Ariz. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's golf team shot a team score of 319 (+39) and are in ninth place after the first round of the NCAA Division II National Tournament being held at Longbow Golf Club.

No. 1 Nova Southeastern University jumped out to take a large lead by shooting 14-over-par 298.  The Otters trail second-place Rollins College by 13 shots heading into tomorrow's second round.  Tarleton State is in third with a 311, followed by Sonoma State (313) and Grand Valley State (315).  There is a three-way tie for sixth place between Florida Southern, University of Indianapolis and California (PA) after carding a 317.

CSUMB is paced by senior #Cicilia Chudivan# who turned in a score of 3-over-par 75 and is tied for eighth place. Junior #Darcy Lake# is in a nine-way tie for 18th place after opening with a 6-over-par 78.  Sophomore #Courtney Soekland# carded an 8-over-par 80 and is tied for 34th place while freshman #Gianna Waddy# notched a 14-over-par 86 and is in 64th place.

The Otters will tee off for their second of four rounds on Thursday, May 13 at 7:55 a.m.
