Official Release

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) announced its 2009-10 student athlete and coaches award last week, with Cal State Monterey Bay's #Cicilia Chudivan# and #Darcy Lake# among the honorees.  Chudivan garnered All-American second team honors while Lake was named to the All-West Region team. 

Chudivan, a senior from Jakarta, Indonesia, is the first All-American in CSUMB's women's golf program.  She finished 11th at the NCAA Division II National Championship. She also earned individual medalist honors at two tournaments this year, the Western Washington Invitational and the Lady Otter Spring Invitational. 

Lake captured the individual medalist honors at the NCAA Super Regional 4 after carding a three-round total 8-over-par 224, winning her first collegiate tournament.  The junior concluded her first national appearance tied for 25th place. 

The Otters finished seventh in their first national tournament appearance with a 72-hole final score of 1,254 on the longbow Golf Course in Mesa, Ariz.
