BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's water polo team concluded the 2010 season with a 9-2 victory over Chapman University to finish ninth in the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Tournament on Sunday.

"The season definitely ended on a high note," said head coach #Gary Figueroa#. "The future also looks very bright and our youngest players really stepped up."

The Otters rebounded after being down 1-0 with three consecutive goals to hold a 3-1 advantage after the first period. 

CSUMB racked up five goals in the next two periods while shutting out Chapman.

Senior #Heather Penna# scored her final collegiate goal in the fourth quarter.
