Day Three Results
NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – The Cal State Monterey Bay men's golf team continues to improve its score in each round at the NCAA Division II Championship, moving into a tie for eighth with a three-round score of 59-over-par 923. The Otters shot an 18-over-par 306 today on the par-72, 7,173 yards Sagamore Golf Course.
Conference-foe Chico State slipped up to the top of the leaderboard after carding a 5-over-par 293 in the third round for a 34-over-par 898 total. Cyril Bouniol of Abilene Christian University carded a 1-under-par 71 to take a three-stroke lead.
Freshman #Dylan Jackson# sits in a tie for 35th on the individual leaderboard after shooting a 78 today. Jackson's three-round total is now 15-over-par 231.
Juniors #Scott Yeakel# and #Anthony Valdez# are tied for 38th with a 16-over-par 232. Yeakel shot a 74 while Valdez turned in a 75 in the third round.
Senior #John Jackson# repeated yesterday's score of 79 and is tied for 60th place with a 20-over-par 236. Junior #Oskar Nystrom# is tied for 73rd at 23-over-par 239.
The Otters tee off in the final round of the National Championship at 6:30 AM (PST) tomorrow.
