TURLOCK, Calif. —
Jenna Bandy (Thousand Oaks HS) went out on a personal high note, leading Cal State Monterey Bay with 14 points Saturday night to finish her Otter career No. 3 on the CSUMB career scoring list. Her accomplishment came in CSUMB's season-ending 84-46 loss at Cal State Stanislaus in Fitzpatrick Arena.
Bandy finishes with 671 points, passing former teammate
Holly Holcomb for the No. 3 spot on the Otter career list. She finished her senior season with 368 points, the fourth best season by an Otter scorer.
Sophomore
McKenna Hill (Ventura/St. Bonaventure HS) just missed her second career double-double, finishing with nine points and nine rebounds.
As for the game itself, Hill made the first basket, but it was all Stanislaus after that. The Warriors raced to a 35-9 lead. The Otters got back to within 17 early in the second half, but the Otters couldn't throw it in the ocean from the outside, making just 1-of-17 from 3-point range on the night. Stanislaus, meanwhile, hit 7-of-14 from long range in the second half to pull away steadily.
The Otters finish at 7-20 overall and 6-16 in the CCAA.
GO OTTERS!
